Abstract
• Segment-oriented anatomical hepatic resection has the advantages ofachieving tumor-free margin and preservation of sufficient functional liverparenchyma. </p><p> • In this context, hepatic resection can be performed based on the preciseanatomical location of the tumor, according to the segmental anatomy asdescribed by Couinaud.</p><p> • In the technical aspect, this approach offers the advantage of performingliver transection along avascular planes so as to minimize intraoperative bloodloss.
