Abstract

Bronchoscopy education and training form a foundation for novice bronchoscopists to acquire skills necessary to provide optimal patient care. This chapter reviews the process of instructional design, the application of teaching and learning principles to bronchoscopy education, the use of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education’s Core Competencies to guide curricula development in bronchoscopy education, the current literature regarding training practices and tools available to develop curricula.
