Dr. Reitz obtained a doctorate (Ph.D.) in Chemistry from the University of California, San Diego. He also holds an Executive Masters in Technology Management from the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton, Penn Engineering). Currently, he is also an Adjunct Professor in the Drexel University College of Medicine. He has published more than 150 scientific publications and is a named inventor of 60 issued U.S patents. He was also the founding Editor (2000) and is currently the Editor-in-Chief of this journal (Current Topics in Medicinal Chemistry, CTMC), published by Bentham Science Publishers.

Prof. Emilio Jirillo

Emilio Jirillo is full professor of Immunology at University of Bari Medical School (Bari, Italy) since 1986.His current fields of interest are: mucosal immunity, microbial immunity and immunonutrition. Especially in this last field, he has recently published in vitro and in vivo studies on the anti-inflammatory effects of polyphenols. He is author of more than 560 papers (326 scientific papers are listed in PUBMED), including books and chapters of books. He is also editor-in-chief- of another Bentham journal: Clinical Immunology Endocrine Metabolic Drugs.

Dr. György Keglevich

György Keglevich graduated as a chemical engineer. He has been Professor of Chemistry since 1995, and the Head of the Department of Organic Chemistry and Technology, Budapest Univesity of Technology since 1999. He is engaged with P-heterocyclic and environmentally-friendly chemistry comprising MW chemistry, phase transfer catalysis and the development of new catalysts. He is the author or co-author of 460 papers He holds editorial positions at the journals Curr. Green Chem., Cur. Org. Chem., Lett. Org. Chem., Curr. Org. Synth.. Lett. Drug Des. Disc. and Curr. Catal. He is the member of the Editorial Board of Heteroatom Chem. and Phosphorus Sulfur Silicon.

Prof. Michael Kahn

Michael Kahn, Ph.D., is professor and chair of the Department of Molecular Medicine at City of Hope's comprehensive cancer center. He comes to City of Hope from University of Southern California, where he was first appointed as the provost professor, with joint appointments in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Keck School of Medicine of USC and the Department of Molecular Pharmacology and Toxicology in the USC School of Pharmacy. After completing his postdoctoral training at Columbia University with Professor Gilbert Stork, Ph.D., Dr. Kahn subsequently did a second postdoctoral fellowship at the Roche Institute of Molecular Biology, where he first became interested in utilizing novel chemistry to complement and enhance the investigation of complex biological signaling pathways. Dr. Kahn’s research program is focused on the integration of basic science with translational medicine. His lab utilizes a forward chemical genomic strategy to identify and validate novel pharmacologic tools to study complex signaling pathways in development and disease. From a translational perspective, these studies led to the development of the second-generation CBP/β-catenin antagonist, Wnt modulating drug, PRI-724. These efforts resulted in the clinical trials of PRI-724 in colon and pancreatic cancer, leukemia and liver fibrosis.

Prof. Ricardo J. Dinis-Oliveira

RICARDO JORGE DINIS-OLIVEIRA, PhD, European PhD, DSc, is a Forensic Sciences Expert, namely in Toxicology and Forensic Medicine areas, and develops its scientific and academic activity in the areas of Toxicology and Pharmacology of Psychoactive Substances, Pesticides and Medicines, in their preclinical, clinical and forensic aspects and in Forensic Medicine, namely the development of mathematical models to calculate the postmortem interval, known as the Holy Grail of Forensic Sciences. He is an Associate Professor with Aggregation at University Institute of Health Sciences and of the Faculty of Medicine of University of Porto. He is an Integrated Researcher at UCIBIO-REQUIMTE - Applied Molecular Biosciences Unit/ Associated Laboratory for Green Chemistry, Clean Technologies and Processes and at the IINFACTS. He is the founder and current President of the Portuguese Association of Forensic Sciences (APCF).
